Bend resident Barbra Gene Jones, 75, died Oct. 17, 2009, at her residence.

Funeral services were Oct. 21 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Dennis Scroggins officiating. Burial was at Sand Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 4, 1934, to Glenn and Mildred Bradberry Marley.

She married Wesley Raymond Jones on July 7, 1951, in Las Cruces, N.M., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2007.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ and the Cedar Break group.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Gary and Julie Jones of Mesquite, and Cary and Rhonda Jones of Wylie; a brother, Edward Dale Marley of Dike; a sister, Glenda Scroggins of Bend; six grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.
