LHS defeated in four sets by Lady Hawks
The Lady Badgers lost an important match to Hendrickson on Friday, but their playoff hopes remain afloat.
Despite losing to the Lady Hawks on the road in four sets (25-15, 23- 25, 25-13, 25-11), Lampasas got a break as Hutto knocked off Marble Falls.
If the Lady Badgers can rally to win each of their final three contests, they will earn a spot in the playoffs.
But the task will not be easy.
Lampasas hosts No. 3 Lake Travis (7-0 District 25-4A) tonight at 6:30 p.m. before welcoming Marble Falls and Killeen to town.
The Lady Badgers lost to Lake Travis in straight sets at their first meeting and suffered a disheartening shutout loss to Marble Falls before earning their first district win in over a year at Killeen.
Their play will have to dramatically improve tonight if they want to make a run for the postseason.
At Hendrickson (5-2 district), the Lady Badgers lost by at least 10 points in three sets and narrowly grabbed their lone victory, winning by just two points.
Sarah Bishop led the team with seven kills, while Jacqueline Hensley posted 10 assists.
Defensively, Bishop finished with a team-high eight digs, while sophomore Hailey Morrison recorded three blocks.
The loss drops Lampasas to 10- 19 overall with a 1-6 district record.
