Teacher charged with improper relationship

Sara Dickison A Lometa Independent School District teacher has been arrested for improper relationship between educator/student.

Lampasas County Sheriff's Department Investigator David Thorp said a complaint had been filed regarding allegations that Sara Elizabeth Dickison, 27, had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with an adult-age male student who had attended classes in the Lometa ISD.

As a result of the investigation, Ms. Dickison was arrested Thursday and arraigned by Precincts 2&3 Justice of the Peace R.E. Lockett. Her bond was set at $15,000.

Thorp said she was released after making bond.

The crime is a second-degree felony that carries a punishment range of two to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.

Lometa Superintendent David Rice was unavailable for comment.
