Public meeting to offer information about upcoming rate increase
Kempner Water Supply Corporation will hold a public hearing on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Kempner Volunteer Fire Department training facility. Officials will be available to discuss the minimum base water rate, which is set to increase from $45 to $50 on Nov. 1. Customers will see the increase for the first time on their December bills, KWSC General Manager David Sneed said.
The rate change is intended to fund a new KWSC treatment plant, Sneed said.
