Museum continues to seek information on veterans
Keystone Square Museum is continuing its quest for information on Lampasas County veterans to add to its existing files.
A veterans' center has been established at the museum, 303 S. Western, to honor former and current service members. A number are already featured in alphabetized binders.
Several hundred biographies currently are in the project, initiated by Merritt Romans and sponsored by the museum.
The center also contains military memorabilia such as photographs, weaponry, histories and more.
Anyone who has ever lived in or worked in Lampasas County should be included, said a museum spokesman.
A photo of the service member in uniform is sought along with date of birth, schooling, occupation, military service (dates, places and units), life after service, family (marriage and children) and death (burial plot) information, if applicable.
"We would love to have every member of the military included," said the spokesman.
Information may be sent to the museum at P.O. Box 373, Lampasas, TX 76550, or may be dropped off at the museum Mondays or Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
