The new Lampasas Animal Shelter will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Thursday at 3 p.m. at the facility on College Street.

Light refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend.

The shelter opened its doors last month, and a number of animals are waiting for adoption.
