Herb & Art Fest events coming Saturday
Herb and art enthusiasts will have their day Saturday at the 15th annual Herb & Art Fest on Courtyard Square at 9 a.m.
There will be informative speakers, vendors selling herband art-related goodies and food, children's activities, music, seminars and more.
A Kids Thyme area will include moonwalks and face painting. Lampasas Badger varsity football team will sign personal items. Bring footballs for signatures.
Pumpkins and cookies will be available for children to decorate, and the Kiddie Express train will offer rides. Children will be invited to the bandstand to dig in a haystack for prizes and treats.
Keystone Square Museum will host the Little Wrangler Roundup for youths ages 4 to 8 starting with photos on Ole Splinter at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m. the event moves to the Lampasas Public Library for biscuits and juice, live music, cowboy stories and lasso tricks.
Fest entertainment and speakers will begin at 9 a.m. at the bandstand.
Family Art in the Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden will include dedication of sculptures, a walking tour, scavenger hunt, art projects, chalk art contest, hair painting, sand art, mask contest, music, dance and poetry.
