Lady Badgers fall to No. 3 Lake Travis

After playing two thrilling matches to begin district competition, the Lady Badgers ran into a brick wall at Lake Travis.

The No. 3 Lady Cavaliers easily disposed of Lampasas in straight sets Friday night, winning 25-7, 25-19, 25-9.

The loss drops the Lady Badgers to 9-16 overall and 0-3 in District 25-4A, while maintaining Lake Travis' perfect district record at 3- 0.

Offensively, Lampasas was led by Kendal Conner's three kills. Hadley Brown, Madison Morris and Sarah Bishop each added a pair of kills.

On defense, the Lady Badgers recorded 17 digs with Bishop (5) and Hailey Morrison (4) leading the way.

The match was the first of five consecutive on the road.

The subvarsity squads did not fare any better as both lost in two sets.

Lampasas' junior varsity (9-13, 0-3) team fell 25-8, 25-10.

The freshmen's record dropped to 10-12 overall and 0-3 in district.

All three teams return to action tonight at Marble Falls. The subvarsities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity following at 6:30 p.m.
