Funeral services for Diane Carlyn Gendke, 65, of Kempner are Oct. 3, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Kempner City Cemetery.

Mrs. Gendke died Sept. 28 at her residence.

She was born April 9, 1944, in San Antonio, the daughter of Byron K. and Miriam M. Petway Dixon.

She married Herman Gendke on June 16, 1972, in Bexar County. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2009.

Mrs. Gendke was a homemaker and she attended United Pentecostal Church in Johnson City.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Jean Stone of San Antonio and Ginger Roberts and Stephen of Magnolia; a son, Danny Saterlee and Valinda of Lynn Haven, Fla.; two brothers, Bill Dixon and wife, Sammy, and Buster Dixon, all of San Antonio; and seven grandchildren, H.B., Andrew and wife, Amy, Justin, Caitlin, Gabby, Aaron and Mariah.

She was preceded in death by a

sister, Vivian.
