Dedications on tap for two campuses
Lampasas High School is on U.S. Highway 281 South. The public is invited to dedications for two new Lampasas Independent School District facilities.
Lampasas High School dedication is set Monday and Taylor Creek Elementary School dedication is slated Tuesday.
LHS is on 80 acres of land and is designed to serve 1,600 students. The 223,700- square-foot facility features 10 science lab/classrooms, general classrooms, a library that includes a distance learning lab and media center, competition and practice gymnasiums, fine arts and performing arts spaces, and career and technical shops, labs and classrooms.
The school also includes athletic fields, a track, tennis courts and a field house on U.S. Highway 281 South. Dedication ceremonies will take place in the gymnasium.
Taylor Creek Elementary sits on 30 acres of land and encompasses 65,000 square feet. It was built to house 650 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade.
The campus features 26 classrooms, two computer labs, a fine arts facility, library, cafeteria, kitchen and gym/multi-purpose room. Ceremonies will be in the cafeteria.
Taylor Creek Elementary is on Big Divide Road. Both dedication events will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature brief remarks from Lampasas ISD Superintendent Randy Hoyer, school board members and campus administrators.
