LHS names Chris Munoz new head softball coach
2009-09-04 / Sports
Chris Munoz takes over a Lady Badgers squad that won its district and went to the area round of the playoffs. Just months after receiving the District 25-4A 2009 softball coach of the year award, Chris Gaffney stepped down from his position at Lampasas High School.
Replacing Gaffney will be Chris Munoz, a two-year member of Lampasas Independent School District.
Munoz currently serves as an LMS assistant football coach and was an assistant baseball coach at LHS last season. The Texas A&M graduate is also a physical fitness teacher at LMS.
He inherits a Lady Badger squad that went 9-1 in its district and landed six players on the alldistrict first team, one on the second team, and had the district MVP and offensive MVP.
