Couple exchange vows at Huntsville church

Grant and Breanne Garner Breanne Ryan of Huntsville and Grant Garner of Anderson County were united in marriage in an Aug. 1, 2009, ceremony at First Assembly of God in Huntsville.

Pastor John Gaston officiated the double-ring afternoon ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joy Ryan, and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Ryan. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Wilson of Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ryan of Florence, N.C.

The groom's parents are Lee and Kim Garner. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allison of Lampasas and the late Winola Garner and Jimmie Garner of Bertram.

Wedding music included "The Bridal March" by Lohengrin. "The Wedding Song" was played while the couple lit the Unity candles. The processional featured Mendelssohn's "Wedding March."

Pianist was Angela Gaston, the pastor's wife.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

She chose an ivory strapless dress. A re-embroidered cameo design was on the bodice. The dress was tied with an iced-mocha satin sash and anchored with a rhinestone brooch.

The dress featured an A-line skirt and a chapel-length train in icedmocha.

The bridal veil was embellished with a rhinestone brooch.

To complement her gown, the bride carried a bouquet of hot pink and ivory roses.

Maid of honor was Hattie Routh of Huntsville.

Bridesmaids were Lauren Schneider and Kerri Carpenter of Huntsville; Stephanie Eveland and Renee Blanchard of San Marcos; and Jennifer Zimmerman, the bride's stepsister, of Belton.

Attendants wore knee-length strapless dresses in teal satin. They were fitted at the waist.

They carried hot pink and ivory rose bouquets.

Best man was Corey Craig of Copperas Cove.

Groomsmen were Lance Garner of Lampasas and Brent Garner of Huntsville, brothers of the groom; Drew Conner of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; Chad Pechak, the groom's cousin of Lampasas; and Patrick Meverden of Copperas Cove, stationed in Iraq.

Ushers were Corey Countz of Huntsville; and Corey Ryan, the bride's stepbrother, and Travis Wheeler, both of Huntsville.

Following the ceremony, a reception was given by the bride's parents at Elks Lake Country Club.

The bride's traditional threetiered cake was covered with pink and teal roses.

The groom's two-tiered German chocolate cake had a fishing theme. The top tier was a chocolate dipped john boat with "Just Married" on it. Tiny cans were strung behind the boat. There were chocolate-dipped oars and two gold lifesavers inside the boat for lifejackets.

After a wedding trip to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., the couple is at home on a wildlife preserve in Anderson County.

The bride attended Texas State University and Sam Houston State University. She is a candidate for graduation from nursing school in Palestine next year.

The groom earned a bachelor of science in educational biology from Sam Houston State University. He is a wildlife biologist at Lochridge Ranch.

A fajita buffet rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents prior to the wedding.
