Local news
Several weeks ago, Mr. Baker wrote a letter of complaint regarding the lack of news printed in our local paper. His letter has stayed on my mind.
I wonder how long Mr. Baker has lived here and/or how involved he is in our community? I would like to tell Mr. Baker he can read versions of what goes on in the world in city newspapers. He can even listen to the radio station. For the local news, however, and what happens in Lampasas County is news to those who care about the people, history and concerns here, can usually be found only in the Lampasas Dispatch Record.
It is my opinion we are fortunate to have a newspaper that prints not only letters of disagreement with its policy but with Scripture verses that may be the only ones some people see, as well as intelligently written articles that inform us about the people and the heritage that make Lampasas a community in change but founded on values which never do.
