Lampasas City Council will hold a second public hearing about the city's proposed 2009- 2010 budget and tax rate on Thursday at noon in Council Chambers.

First reading of an ordinance to enact the budget and tax rate will be at the council's Sept. 14 meeting at 7 p.m. If approved, the new budget will take effect Oct. 1.
