Crystal Raquel Garza, 19, of Lampasas posted $3,500 bail and was released from the Lampasas County Jail on Aug. 21.

Her release follows the arrest of Mrs. Garza and her husband, 19- year-old Lowell Preston Garza, last week on charges of injury to a child with the intent of serious bodily injury in connection with the death of their two-month-old daughter, Isabella Garza.

A preliminary autopsy report from the Dallas medical examiner received by Lampasas County Sheriff David Whitis ruled the death a homicide by blunt-force trauma.

Garza remains in jail on a $1 million bond, while Mrs. Garza's bail was reduced from the original amount of $750,000.

Whitis said he expects additional charges to be filed against Garza in the case.
