The big move for athletics
Last weekend, the athletic department needed to move the middle school and high school from their existing campuses to their new facilities. It was so exciting to see our community pull together to help us.
Not only did we have pickups and trailers, but each of the volunteers who gave of their time showed the true spirit of pulling together to accomplish a huge task - a task that would not have been completed without the volunteers and coaches giving of their free time.
I would like to thank everyone who worked many hours to help the athletic department. I know each of these volunteers had many things to do themselves, but because of their partnership in helping us we were able to move all our equipment and supplies to be ready for Monday workouts for our teams.
It is with great pride that I see many people helping each other to move into the new facilities for Lampasas ISD. When the students enter their school buildings on Monday, they all need to think of the countless hours people have put into helping make a successful start for this school year. The helping hands of Lampasas should make everyone in our community swell with pride. Thank you, Lampasas!
Just a reminder of the events coming up for us. The football team will scrimmage in Glen Rose tonight. The freshman team and junior varsity will scrimmage at 5:30 p.m., and the varsity will follow at 7 p.m.
Please continue to support all of the extracurricular activities throughout the year. We are blessed to have these new facilities.
