Mr. Soto
A memorial service for Nestor Louis Soto, 56, of Broken Arrow, Okla., is Aug. 22, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Christ the Rock Church in Lampasas with Pastor Kevin Veazey officiating.
Mr. Soto died Aug. 7 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.
He was born May 21, 1953, in Chicago, Ill., to Candido and Maria Torres Soto.
He lived and worked in Lampasas from 1990-92.
Mr. Soto was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Karen Davidson on Dec. 13, 1991, and they moved to Broken Arrow, Okla., in 1993, from Tulsa.
He graduated from Rhema Bible College in 1994. He was a broacher for Wellman Products.
Mr. Soto, a member of Vision of Love Church, enjoyed studying the Bible, watching history and educational channels, computers and video games.
Survivors include his wife of Broken Arrow; two sons, Josiah Soto of Broken Arrow and Antonio Soto of Millersville, Md.; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Petty of Avondale, Ariz; a grandson, DeAngelo Isaiah Soto of Millersville; his mother of Temple; sisters, Migdalia Stahl of Lampasas and Mildred Rodriguez of Durango, Durango, Mexico; a brother, Nephtali Matta of Lincoln, Neb.; and several nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
