Nothing to do
I was born in Lampasas and spent my childhood here. I graduated from Lampasas High in 1960. Lampasas had things for the youth to do at that time. We had a theater downtown and even a drive-in theater. We and a skating rink for a while.
I come to Lampasas several times a year to visit. I am shocked to find that a town this size has absolutely nothing for the youth to do as entertainment.
I have noticed that there have been a couple of new liquor stores in the town. I just have a hard time trying to understand why we say we don't want our children to drink and drive. So my question is what are you doing to prevent it? The youth have to drive to other towns for any kind of entertainment.
I don't live here any more but I have family who does, so I am concerned for the children who grow up in Lampasas, Texas, with nothing to do.
