Margaret Ann Henderson, 87, of Lampasas died Aug. 13, 2009, at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple.

Graveside services were Aug. 17 at Kempner City Cemetery.

Mrs. Henderson was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Rogers, the daughter of John A. and Jessie Stanford McLaurin.

She had lived in Lampasas since she was 9.

She married Edgar Henderson on Sept. 13, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Mrs. Henderson was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas where she taught a preschool Sunday School class for a number of years. She was a member of the Dorcas class. She had also taught Sunday School at Kempner years ago.

Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, in which she served as registrar for two years.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Cathy and Sam Voltaggio of Austin; and a son and his wife, Eddy and Dena Henderson of Lometa.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur A. McLaurin and John Stanford McLaurin; a sister, Willie Mae Winningham; and two infant daughters, Barbara Jean and Nancy Rebecca.
