Faye Elizabeth Gilstrap, 76, of Abilene, formerly of Lampasas, died Aug. 10, 2009, at Abilene Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are Aug. 14 at 1 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilstrap was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Laurens, S.C., the daughter of Kelley and Cecil Fraley Lee.

She married Walter Gilstrap Sr. on Jan. 16, 1950, in South Caro- lina, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2006.

Mrs. Gilstrap owned and operated several restaurants in Lampasas and was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Walter Jr. and Sheila Gilstrap of Abilene, Drexel and Donna Gilstrap of Pecos and Kelley and Tina Gilstrap of Angleton; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sharon Anderson of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Faye, and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
