Registration continues for LHS; orientations scheduled

Lampasas High School is continuing its new student registration this week for the 2009-2010 school year.

Seniors and juniors had registration yesterday.

Today, incoming freshmen and sophomores should register from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the new high school campus on U.S. Highway 281 South.

Late LHS registration is Aug. 19 from 5-7 p.m.

High school orientations are set Aug. 19 as follows: seniors, 5 p.m.; juniors, 5:30 p.m.; sophomores, 6 p.m.; and freshmen, from 1-4 p.m.

Meet the teacher night for Lampasas Middle School students is Aug. 18 from 6-8 p.m.

Meet the teacher nights are Aug. 20 from 5-6 p.m. at Kline Whitis, Elementary, Hanna Springs Elementary and Taylor Creek Elementary schools.

Also, the Lampasas ISD will hold vaccination clinics at each registration event. Due to a change in vaccination requirements, parents are encouraged to be sure their children's shots are updated prior to the start of the new school year.

The first day of the school term is Aug. 24.

Those new to the Lometa Independent School District may stop by the school office to register. Bring shot record, Social Security card and birth certificate. Classes begin Aug. 24.
