Inspirational women's event slated Aug. 28-29

2009-08-07 / Lifestyles

Best-selling Christian author Beth Moore will deliver a message to an estimated 90,000 women Aug. 28-29 from Green Bay, Wisc. Local residents will have the opportunity to see the popular Bible teacher without leaving Lampasas.

Through a partnership between LifeWay Women's Events, Church Communication Network and Lampasas First United Methodist Church, a simulcast will broadcast live via satellite.

Over 650 churches across the U.S., including First United Methodist Church of Lampasas, are participating as host churches.

The simulcast event is the live broadcast of LifeWay's Living Proof Live event in Green Bay.

While an estimated 8,000 will participate live from Green Bay, simulcast technology enables nearly 10 times as many women across the nation to experience the event.

Living Proof Live is a unique women's event -- no two bear the same message. Mrs. Moore's focus is on the scripture God leads her to teach for each specific location.

Her compelling style of teaching the Bible and sharing her own journey resonate with women of different ages, races, backgrounds and denominations.

"We have one goal: people coming to love Jesus Christ with a passion through the study of His Word," said Mrs. Moore.

LifeWay Christian Resources is one of the world's largest providers of Christian products and services. LifeWay is a religious, non-profit organization that reinvests income above operating expenses in missions work and ministries.

Cost for the event is $20 for both days, and scholarships are available if needed.
