Dr. Sargent
Dr. James Scott Sargent, 61, died Aug. 1, 2009, in Arlington.
Funeral services were held Aug. 5 at Pantego Bible Church in Fort Worth, with Dr. Elliott Johnson officiating.
Interment was Aug. 6 at Townsen Cemetery in Adamsville.
Dr. Sargent was born Jan. 22, 1948, in San Saba to Horace and Verniece Sargent.
After graduating from high school in Lampasas, he attended Texas Christian University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas at Galveston.
Dr. Sargent was a longtime resident of Arlington and retired from Radiology Associates of Tarrant County.
He was a member of The Radiological Society of North America, Tarrant County Medical Society, American College of Radiology and the Texas Radiological Society.
His survivors include his wife of 36 years, Margaret Sargent; daughters Lauren Cooley and husband Bo of San Antonio, and Jill Sapp and husband James of Arlington; a son, Daniel Sargent of Keller; one brother, Bruce Sargent of Little Falls, Minn.; grandchildren Mia Cooley, Georgia Cooley, Evelyn Cooley, Andrew Sapp and Henry Sapp; and aunts and uncles Jean Sargent of Lampasas, and Tommy and Jayme Gunter of Orangevale, Calif.
Dr. Sargent was preceded in death by his parents.
