Roxie Ann Hendrix, age 82, of Lampasas died Aug. 1, 2009, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital. Graveside services were Aug. 3 at Oddfellow Cemetery in Hamilton.

Mrs. Hendrix was born June 24, 1927, in Fairfield, Ill., the daughter of Fred Bruce and Julie Countryman Bruce.

She married Thomas Hendrix on June 16, 1946, in Fairfield.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, where she enjoyed participating in church activities. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Hendrix is survived by a son, Tim Hendrix and wife Connie of Lampasas; two sisters, Mary Vaughn of Fairfield, Ill. and Pat Gibbs of Independence, Mo.; two grandchildren, Wade Hendrix and wife Lauren of Leander, and Holly Hill and husband Ryan of Lampasas; and one great-grandchild, Ridge Hill.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Bruce Hendrix; and two sisters, Norma Ackman and Freda Piatt.
