Mary Jo Campbell Funeral services for Mary Jo Campbell, 88, are July 31, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Church of Christ.

Mrs. Campbell died July 27 at her residence.

She was born Sept. 12, 1920, at the family home in Coleman, the daughter of C.L. and Mary Ollie Livingston Bradley.

She grew up in Brady and graduated from Brady High School in 1937. Mrs. Campbell attended San Angelo College for one year and then returned to Brady where she worked for the Rural Electrification Administration.

She married Norris C. Campbell of Brady on Nov. 7, 1943.

After her children were grown, Mrs. Campbell returned to college and earned a degree from Abilene Christian University in 1983 at age 62.

She was a former member of the Abilene Garden Club and enjoyed watching birds.

She was a member of both the Brady and Highway 36 congregations of the Church of Christ. In addition, she attended University and Hamby Churches of Christ with her children.

Survivors include five sons and one daughter and their families, Bruce and Francine Campbell of Eula, James and Kathy Campbell of San Antonio, Don and Carol Campbell of Flower Mound, Liz and Paul Rotenberry and Robert and Jean Campbell, all of Abilene, and Paul Campbell of League City; 15 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Pat Pamplin and husband, Leonard of Abilene.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Betty Kirklin; and a grandson, Bradley Campbell Rotenberry.
