Members of the Lometa High School FFA chapter placed well at the FFA State Convention with their science projects. Six teams were entered. Chris Scarborough and Jared Purser took first place, and the teams of John Brooks and Gunner Bradley, Jordan Gilbert and Amy Flores, D'Artagnan Logsdon and Justus Alaniz, and Taylor Mitchell and Samantha Phillips each took second place. A second-place individual award went to Shane Stone.
