Graveside services for Hazel Morris, 95, of Decatur, formerly of Lampasas were July 15, 2009, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas with Minister Lon Jones officiating.

Mrs. Morris died July 13 in Decatur.

She was born July 2, 1914, in Seymour, to Matt and Leatha Caussey Wood.

Mrs. Morris moved to the Bridgeport/Decatur area shortly after the death of her husband, John Morris, in March 1991.

She was a homemaker and previously wrote tickets for most of the auction barns in the area.

Survivors include two brothers, M.L. Wood and wife, Doris, of Lone Star and Boyce Wood of Kermit; and two sisters, Christine Rabe of Bridgeport and Neva Carrigan and husband, Harold, of Odessa.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Obie and Perry Wood, and three sisters, Mamie King, Lois McConnell and Mildred Wood.
