GOLF
Hancock Park Golf Course was extremely gracious to several golfers in recent weeks as three players recorded hole-in-ones this month.
Terry Eckermann began the trend on July 3, hitting a 160- yard hole-in-one off the blue tees at hole No. 11. He used a 9- iron.
Dean Werlinger celebrated the Fourth of July holiday by sinking a hole-in-one on the same hole. Werlinger also used a 9-iron, hitting his ball 135 yards off the white tees.
On July 9, Blake Graham used a 6-iron on hole No. 6 to drain a 110-yard hole-in-one from the blue tees.
BLUE BLAZES
Six Blue Blazes members qualified for the TAAF state meet with their performances in Waco over the weekend.
For complete results from the meet, see Friday's edition.
