Belittling of others is not funny

2009-07-14 / Letters

The majority of Americans do not mind fair criticism. Most Americans do not like nasty-mouth people who spew trash. Most Americans do not admire people without scruples. One should never belittle someone's family, especially children. It hurts. It's mean. It's not funny.

Not one of you who reads this letter would like to be mocked and ridiculed. I wouldn't. I speculate that Sarah Palin does not either. David Letterman goes on night after night trying to be funny at Sarah Palin's expense. He is not funny; he is mean.

As a former Democrat, I understand the Palin haters' pain and frustrations. Should Sarah Palin run for president in 2012 as an independent, I will become a former Republican. To the elite (not rank-and-file) Democrats, some Republicans and liberal media, I say when you spread manure, you're probably gonna step in it.
