Duain Tyson Funeral services for lifetime Priddy resident Duain Tyson, 80, were July 10, 2009, at Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy with Pastor Don Kingman officiating. Burial was at Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Tyson died July 8 at Hamilton Hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1928, in Comanche, the son of Thomas Matthew and Luthicia Stewart Tyson.
He married Elizabeth Kunkel on March 12, 1949, in Priddy.
Mr. Tyson was a farmer and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of Priddy; six children and their spouses, Annie and Chester Henry and Kathy and Perry Alexander, all of Goldthwaite, Helen and Dana Ledbetter of Eldorado, Clyde and Donna Tyson of Lampasas, Anthony and Karen Tyson of Comanche and Vicki and Bobby Hughes of Mansfield; 19 grandchildren; and 38 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Cane Alexander; four brothers; and one sister.
