Masons to install officers

The Freemasons of San Saba Lodge No. 612 A.F. & A.M. will host installation of officers for the 70th Masonic District today.

A meal of fried fish, fries, hush puppies, beans and tea will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Masons, their wives and members of the Order of the Eastern Star are asked to bring a complimentary covered side dish, salad, bread or dessert.

The installation of 2009-10 officers is open to the public, and all family and friends are invited.

This year, six lodges in the district will be in attendance.

Installing officer will be Deputy Grand Master Orville Lee O'Neill of the Grand Lodge of Texas.

After supper, the following lodge officers will be installed from Lometa's Lodge No. 514: Larry E. Cohen, worshipful master; Gene Case, senior warden; Ronald Thomison, junior warden; Doug Moresco, secretary; Shad Hill, treasurer; Marlin Sloan, chaplain; Richard Medders, senior deacon; and Clifford B. Mayben, junior deacon.

From Lampasas Lodge No. 546, installation will include Shannon L. Estep, worshipful master; Leroy L. Forbes Sr., senior warden; Thomas M. Thogmartin, junior warden; Michael R. Edwards, treasurer; Shad R. Hill, secretary; William R. Archie, chaplain; Jack F. Stanford, senior deacon; Dale G. Wolfe, junior deacon; Levi Cash Jr., senior steward; James L. Kincheloe, marshal; and H. Grady Jones, tiler.

Officers also will be installed for Goldthwaite Lodge No. 694, Mullin Lodge No. 806, San Saba Lodge No. 612 and Richland Springs Lodge No. 882.
