Wheeler-Gorton Trisha Leigh Wheeler and Daniel Gorton, both of San Marcos, will exchange wedding vows in an Aug. 8, 2009, ceremony at First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas.

Miss Wheeler is the daughter of Doyce and Carlene Wheeler of Lampasas.

A Lampasas High School graduate, she is a candidate for August graduation from Texas State University with a bachelor of arts in English.

Mr. Gorton is the son of Robert and Francis Gorton of Kempner, and Danita Gorton of Manhattan, Kan.

He graduated from Lampasas High School and earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Texas State University in May.

He is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
