Painting paw prints

PHOTO BY CLAY WHITTINGTON The first of many royal blue Lampasas Badger paw prints to come began popping up around town last Thursday thanks to LMS' Creating Futures Summer Program members. Under the supervision of LMS athletic director Jim Burks, the group painted the paw prints along the spillway between the senior citizen center and Sulphur Creek off Eighth Street as a way to show school spirit. The program is accepting donations of Badger blue paint and spray paint so more paw prints can be placed around town. Ace Hardware donated the wood used to create the stencil.
