Noma Sneed Funeral services for Noma Ray Sneed, 80, of Lampasas are July 10, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Dr. Rick Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Murphree Cemetery at Evant.

Visitation is July 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Sneed died July 4 at her residence.

She was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Charley Whittney "Babe" and Mary Malvaria Howard Weir.

Mrs. Sneed grew up in Hamilton, and after marrying Troy Sneed, moved to Gatesville where they lived for many years.

The couple moved to Lampasas in 1979.

Mrs. Sneed was a certified nurse's aide and a homemaker.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lampasas and a former member of the Rebeccas.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Sneed Kidd and husband, Kenneth, of Waco, and Judy Sneed Scott of Lampasas; a son, Kenneth Sneed of Lampasas; two sisters, Doris Elka of Atwater, Okla., and Mary Anderson of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Michelle, Kenny, Rebecca, Mary, Kara, Julie, Sendy, Lorena, Suzy, Jerry, David, Wendy, Cinthia, Alicia and Pedro; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Karina, Kimberly, Katherine, Jackson, Lucas, James, Molly, Mesa, Brenda, Kyle, Kevin, Jessie, Jeannie, Tommy, Andrew, Nicki, Sarah, Troy, Stephan, Brandon, Dylan, David Jr., Macy, Sydney, David, Gavin, Kaylee and Raylee; and eight great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, James Sneed; a stillborn child; a brother, Charles Ruben Weir; and a great-grandson, Charles.
