Burn ban extended
Order cites ongoing "severe fire danger" in Lampasas County

County Judge Wayne Boultinghouse has extended for 10 days the county's ban on outdoor burning in unincorporated areas. Extension of the ban, which has been in effect since June 29, begins Wednesday at noon. More...

Heather Ann Smith of Lampasas died June 30, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Hamilton. She was 18. Funeral services are July 7 at 4 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Pastor Maggie McKinley officiating. The body will be cremated following the service. More...
