Man sentenced to TDC on two charges In recent 27th District Court action with Judge Joe Carroll presiding, Michael Joseph Schoolcraft, 46, of Kempner received two years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for bail jumping and a failure to appear felony charge. In addition, Schoolcraft was given five years' probation and a $1,000 fine for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. He also must attend a substance abuse treatment program. A 10-year probated sentence was given to Christopher John Young for delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine. The 31-yearold Copperas Cove resident also must pay a $1,000 fine and attend a drug program. On a charge of robbery, Michael Allen Longoria, 22, was given six years' deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine. As a condition of his probation, he must attend the Roy Robb Treatment Facility, perform community service and pay restitution. Joshua Ray Tibbits, 18, of Lampasas received six years' deferred adjudication probation for burglary of a habitation. He was ordered to complete an intermediate sanction facility program and pay restitution. For possession of marijuana under two ounces in a drug-free zone, Gatesville resident Donald Joe Kennedy, 34, was given four years' deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine plus court costs. He also must perform community service. Daniel Caleb Gerhart, 21, of Lampasas was assessed two years' adjudication probation and must pay restitution and a $200 fine plus court costs for burglary of a building, which was punished as a Class A misdemeanor. Omar Velasquez, 25, of Lampasas is set for a July 17 hearing on a motion for abandon/ endanger a child, criminal negligence. Forty-seven-year-old Frank Scott Hedges is to enter a plea July 17 for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. A July 24 adjudication hearing is slated for Elgin resident Matthew Bradley Harris, 25, for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000. Robert Allen Rossiter, 50, of Copperas Cove is set for a punishment hearing July 24 for failure to register as a sex offender. July 24 pretrial hearings are scheduled for William Matsu Karcher, 44, of Lampasas for indecency with a child, exposure; and for John Carlton Brizedine, 46. The Florence resident is charged with possession/transport of a chemical with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. Johnny Lee Fletcher, 27, of Lometa had his bond lowered to $1,000 and is set for an Aug. 14 punishment hearing on a charge of burglary of a building. For burglary of a habitation, John Randall Craddock, 18, of Lampasas faces an Aug. 21 punishment hearing. His bond was lowered to $2,500. Oct. 26 jury trials are on the docket for David Scott Barczi, 31, of Lampasas for harassment of a public servant; Florentino Flores, 44, of Dallas for engaging in organized criminal activity; Juan Antonio Villegas-Soto, 20, of Lampasas for engaging in organized criminal activity-conspiracy; and Nancy Gale Skeen, 45, of Georgetown for possession of a controlled substance over 28 grams in a drug-free zone. |
