FFA'ers headed to convention
A large delegation of Lampasas FFA members, parents and guests will be attending the 81st Texas FFA State Convention July 6-10 at the Dallas Convention Center.
FFA members Reese Vann and Kelsie Ray will be recognized on Thursday at the fourth session as scholarship recipients. They will receive a combined $25,000 in stipends.
Lone Star Degree qualifiers Michael Fisher and James Lansford will be honored at an awards ceremony on Tuesday. They are receiving the highest degree conferred by the Texas FFA Association.
FFA officers set to attend include Jeyde Kelly, Kirby Kennedy, Kalyn Hayes, Mackenzie Martin, Paige Hensley, Jacqueline Hensley and Blaire Stoneham.
Greenhand FFA members who met the requirements are Blayze Bierschwale and Kleg Kennedy.
Students will attend business sessions, leadership workshops, participate in a career show and serve as voting delegates.
More than 10,000 FFA members, advisers and guests are expected to attend the annual event.
