The 2010 steer validation for Lampasas County is today at 4 p.m. at the Mike Atkinson ranch.

All prospective steer exhibitors who plan to enter major stock shows in 2010 must have a state validation tag, hair samples and nose prints submitted to the State Steer Validation Office.

Each county 4-H/FFA program must validate steers before July 1.

Make checks payable for $8 for steer tags to LCYLA. FFA dues also will be accepted.
