Local softball player Alyssa Maldonado, right, met United States Women Olympic Softball Team pitcher Lisa Fernandez following her team's first-place finish at the Pro Fastptich Tournament in McKinney. The Texas Blaze 98 went undefeated, winning five consecutive games in the single elimination tournament, including a 4-3 victory over the 98 Flower Mound Rage in the championship contest. Fernandez, a three-time Olympic gold medal winner, holds the Olympic record for strikeouts in a single game with 25.
