Couple plans Aug. 1 wedding
Vodicka-Carnley Courtney Lane Vodicka and Zachary Clayton Carnley, both of Carrollton, plan to exchange wedding vows in an Aug. 1, 2009, ceremony at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center in The Woodlands.
Miss Vodicka is the daughter of Vincent C. and Paula Lane Vodicka of The Woodlands.
She is a 2003 graduate of The Woodlands High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with a teaching certification for Early Childhood through fourth-grade from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches in 2007.
Miss Vodicka is a fourth-grade teacher at J.W. Davis Elementary School in the Irving Independent School District.
Mr. Carnley is the son of Lisa Carnley, and Tom Carnley of Lampasas. He is the grandson of Frank and Renee' Laifer of N. Syracuse, N.Y., and Marcia Carnley and the late Thomas C. Carnley of Lampasas.
He is a 2002 Lampasas High School graduate. He received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice in 2006 from Stephen F. Austin State University, and an associate's degree in funeral science from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2009.
The prospective bridegroom is a funeral director and embalmer for Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland.
