The Lampasas Independent School District has released a list of registration dates, orientation schedules and meet the teacher nights for the start of the 2009- 2010 school year.

Registration for new students entering prekindergarten through fifth grade will be Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kline Whitis Elementary.

New student registration for prekindergarten through eighth grade is July 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lampasas Middle School (the old high school building).

New student registration for Lampasas High School is Aug. 10 for those entering grades 11 and 12, and Aug. 11 for incoming freshmen and sophomores, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Registration will be at the new high school campus on U.S. Highway 281 South.

Late LHS registration is Aug. 19 from 5-7 p.m.

High school orientations are as follows: seniors, Aug. 18; juniors, Aug. 21; sophomores, Aug. 20; and freshmen, Aug. 19. Each event begins at 5 p.m.

Meet the teacher night for Lampasas Middle School students is Aug. 18 from 6-8 p.m.

Meet the teacher nights are Aug. 20 from 5-6 p.m. at Kline Whitis, Hanna Springs Elementary and Taylor Creek Elementary schools.

The first day of the new school term is Aug. 24.
