Boy Scout fun

PHOTOS BY BILL McDONALD More than 250 Coub, family members and friends attended the annual Cub Mobile downhill races at Hanna Springs Intermediate School parking lot. Nine dens were represented, with each den entering a built or refurbished car. Above, the troop is led in the opening flag ceremony prior to the start of the race, while below, Richard Smith is ready to race while his fellow Scouts prepare to cheer him on. Each Scout races twice, and the fastest times are used to determine the winning den.
