Tractor enthusiasts prepare for Adamsville show, games
      Antique tractor enthusiasts from the local area and from as far away as Houston are expected to display equipment at the Adamsville Tractor Show & Games set Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Some of the equipment anticipated includes old John Deere tractors, International Harvesters, Minneapolis Molines, Rumleys and an Oil King, among others.

      More than 250 Coub, family members and friends attended the annual Cub Mobile downhill races at Hanna Springs Intermediate School parking lot. Nine dens were represented, with each den entering a built or refurbished car.

Key Club garners award; Franklin named to district office
      Lampasas High School Key Club members recently attended the 60th annual Texas-Oklahoma District Key Club Convention where they were awarded the Kim Owen Dinsmore Most Improved Club Award. Key Club is the largest high school service organization, and the local high school club is sponsored by Lampasas Kiwanis Club.

Aglow meeting set Thursday
      Lampasas Aglow, a Community Lighthouse of Aglow International, will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at Holiday Inn Express. The Rev. Lois Baker and Kay Rindahl will be guest speakers. They are active in their home church in Selma, Ohio, and have been with Aglow for 30 years, having served on local and area boards and in counseling and intercessory prayer.
