County holds brief meeting

In a meeting of less than 30 minutes last week, Lampasas County commissioners addressed an agenda that consisted mostly of bids and bid requests.

Before considering bid requests, commissioners accepted an off-system bridge inspection report from Cathy Griffin, bridge inspection coordinator for the Texas Department of Transportation's Brownwood District. Ms. Griffin found no significant changes from her previous bridge assessment.

Also, the court voted to table consideration of bids for rolling stock, buildings and contents, general liability, public officials' insurance and law enforcement liability.

Commissioners then voted to issue requests for bids for non-spec flex base and delivery-only gasoline and diesel. Bids for both items will be opened on May 21 and awarded on May 26.
