Marty Carter Martha "Marty" Vaughan Carter died March 19, 2009, at her home in Granbury.

A family remembrance will be held this summer in St. Albans Bay, Vt. No local services are planned.

Born in Lafayette, Ind., Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late William T. and Maurice (Joni) Bean.

She married Alan Carter on June 6, 1964, and they lived in Lampasas for 36 years where they reared their children and managed several businesses.

In 2008, they moved to Granbury.

Survivors include her husband of Granbury; three sons, Steven, David and John and their wives Angie, Lisa and Julie; three grandchildren Wesley Anderson, Joshua Carter and Abigail Carter; a brother, Will Bean; and a twin sister Mary Bean.
