Sheila Ringer is the Lampasas Art Club's Artist of the Month for February. Her paintings are on display in the foyer of Lampasas Art Gallery. Growing up on the east coast, Mrs. Ringer attended college in Florida, majoring in music with a minor in science. Along with being a wife and mother, she spent 20 years in the U.S. Army as a medical lab technician. After retirement, she attended and graduated from nursing school in Kansas. She and her husband, also retired military, moved to Lampasas in 1998 where she continues to work as a nurse but now has time to pursue her art. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the gallery to view the works on display. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Phone 556-9755 for information.
