Liselotte Upenieks, 87, of Copperas Cove died Feb. 8, 2009, at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. at Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove. The body was cremated.

Mrs. Upenieks was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Blankburg, Germany, to Willy and Auguste Bleil Pfeiffer.

She was a restaurateur in Germany and she moved to the U.S. in 1986.

Mrs. Upenieks was a member of Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove.

Survivors include a daughter, Ilona Hunter of Lampasas; and one son, Hans Christian Pfeiffer of Munich, Germany.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
