Hornets, Lady Hornets begin seasons on perfect note
      It might not be the same as watching Haley's Comet streak through the night sky or finding a four-leaf clover, but Lometa basketball fans are witnessing something very rare. For the first time in a very, very long time, both the Lady Hornets and Hornets are sporting perfect 4- 0 records in district.

Junior high teams to play
      Lometa Junior High hoopsters continue their season with games Monday on the road against Mullin. On Jan. 19, the teams will play Iredell at 6 p.m. at Lometa, followed by contests on Jan. 26 at Priddy. The team will conclude its season with two contests in Feburary. On Feb. 2, they play Mullin at home, and on Feb. 9, the Hornets head to Star. All contests begin at 6 p.m.
