Lampasas Art Club members met at the Lampasas Art Gallery for the December meeting, which included a luncheon and Christmas gift exchange.

End-of-the-year reports were given by committee chairmen.

Members continue to display paintings in several city banks and expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to share their art with the public.

The scheduling chairman reported good participation from members in volunteering to work at the gallery to keep it open on a regular basis, as well as on special occasions coinciding with other activities on Courtyard Square.

Betty Stenson was welcomed as a new member. Her paintings are on display at the gallery.

The club news/photo albums are being kept up to date and on display, and contributions of club-related items are welcome.

The nominating committee chair presented a slate of officers for the group's approval.

New officers were selected and will be installed at the meeting on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the art gallery.

Retiring president Marlene Corbin commended all members for their hard work and continued support during the year.

Mrs. Corbin also expressed appreciation to the officers for their assistance with club activities and to committee members and chairmen for their time involved in carrying out the various club functions.

The meeting adjourned, followed by a meal provided by members and a gift exchange. A collection of items was brought by members to donate to Lampasas Mission.
