Lampasan Matt Karcher and his four passengers were unhurt in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Fourth Street and Old Georgetown Road. While traveling west, the driver veered off the right side of the road and hit an electric pole. The pole snapped, and the southeast portion of the city lost power for about 45 minutes.
